Audette Exel has spent her career doing what everyone said couldn’t be done – bridging the worlds of business and non-profits to assist people living in extreme poverty. After a successful career as a corporate lawyer and banker (including as one of the youngest women ever to run a publicly traded bank right here in Bermuda) Audette made the decision 18 years ago to marry her passions of social justice and business to help people in need.
Join us as Audette shares her purpose, passions and her lessons from the road of building a business entirely for purpose.
Many of you may remember Audette from her time as the Managing Director of Bermuda Commercial Bank during the 90’s. She is one of the youngest women in the world to have run a publicly-traded bank. Audette was also the Chairman of the BSX and on the board of the BMA.
Since leaving the corporate world from a full time basis, Audette has dedicated herself to her charitable works in Nepal and Uganda. Audette is the Founder and CEO of The Adara Group which consists of two Australian corporate advisory businesses, whose sole purpose is to support their non-profit international development organization, Adara Development. They work to improve health and education for women, children and communities in need.
